AnAlfa Romeo 8C 2900 is one of those. Created in the 1930s with engineering by legendary Vittorio Jano, they were fast supercharged machines, most graced with glorious bodywork, usually by AlfaRomeo 8C 2900B Lungo Touring Spider. First introduced in the 8C 2300, the Vittorio Jano designed eight cylinder engine scored at least one victory in every major race and championship. In its initial 1931 configuration, the engine displaced 2336 cc, it grew gradually to 2905 cc, primarily by increasing the stroke.

Threeversions of the car were developed – the 8C 2900A, which featured a straight two-seater chassis specifically designed for motor racing, and the 8C 2900B, which came in a short wheel base known as the Spider Corsa and a long wheelbase known as the Coupe Touring models. TheAlfa Romeo 6C 2500. The Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 was introduced in 1938 and was a development of the earlier Vittorio Jano-drawn 6C 2300 by Jano's successor, Bruno Trevisan. It received a larger, more powerful engine and modern coachwork and would remain in production for fourteen years, ending in 1952 when replaced by the 1900.
